Planners4Health California provides this web space to assist planners from California and beyond confront the present and future challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.  The content on this web page intends to apply a health equity lens to all planning-related topics.  Before accessing any of the content provided below, please take a moment to read our disclaimer.
The age old debate is: Does history make the leader or does the leader make history?

Planners are problem solvers and provide a crucial link between communities and their governments. By doing their jobs well, by thinking about how to best serve all members of their communities as we work to create great places for people, planners are leaders. Right now we are being called on to be even more present and mindful as we help our communities steer through these challenging times.  APA California, the regional sections, and our affiliates like Planners4Health are here to support planners across the state. Plan to Lead!

-Julia Lave Johnston, APA California President
