Dr. Jo Kay Ghosh is the Health Effects Officer and Director of Community Air Programs at the South Coast Air Quality Management District. In this role, she oversees the health effects programs and air quality assessment functions, and leads the AB 617 Community Air Initiatives program. She has more than 15 years of experience in health research and public health practice. Prior to working at the South Coast AQMD, Dr. Ghosh oversaw tuberculosis epidemiology at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, where she implemented innovative projects to enhance data communication with stakeholders. She received her PhD in Epidemiology from the UCLA School of Public Health, and a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology and Biostatistics) and Bachelor of Science (Bioengineering), both from the University of California, Berkeley.
